Environmental Impact
At GroundScope we are focussed on helping our clients reduce the emissions of their travel as well as reducing the carbon footprint of our own business operations.
GroundScope Green Leaf System
Our proprietary Green Leaf system is integrated directly into the GroundScope booking platform, enabling travellers to identify and select the most environmentally responsible transport option available at the point of booking.
Service partners are assessed based on factors such as vehicle type, emissions, and sustainability practices. This allows clients to make informed, lower-impact travel decisions without adding complexity to the booking process.
By embedding this visibility into the platform, we support more sustainable choices at scale — across global operations.

Carbon Offsetting
We work with Carbon Neutral Britain to offset 100% of the emissions generated by our rides at no extra cost to our travellers.
We are also certified by Carbon Neutral Britain as a Carbon Neutral business.
This provides clients with a practical way to reduce the environmental impact of their journeys while maintaining operational efficiency. Our approach focuses on credible, verified offset programmes aligned with recognised international standards.

Blue Carbon Mangrove Restoration is the world’s first verified blue carbon project, aiming at restoring coastal ecosystems within the Indus River Delta Region of Sindh, southeastern Pakistan, ensuring biodiversity thrives and remains sustainable for the future. The project’s extensive activities are geared towards impactful climate action over its 60-year duration, planning the restoration of 350,000 hectares of mangroves.
Hay Meadow Restoration & Rewilding focuses on creating and restoring habitats that are crucial for a diverse range of UK species, from bumblebees to hedgehogs and birds, enhancing biodiversity. These efforts directly contribute to combating the biodiversity crisis by providing homes for numerous species and ensuring the survival of rare and endangered farmland wildlife.
Separate to the positive impact on biodiversity, the meadow restoration activities of this project are also expected to play a significant role in climate change mitigation, with an estimated 3 tonnes of carbon being captured, per hectare of land.
Sea Grass Recover and Protection – through a partnership between Carbon Neutral Britain and the Studland Bay Marine Partnership 87 environmentally friendly “eco-moorings” at Studland Bay, Dorset, within a designated Marine Conservation Zone and Voluntary No Anchor Zone. The initiative reduces seabed damage caused by traditional anchoring and helps restore the bay’s crucial seagrass meadows—key habitats for marine biodiversity and natural carbon capture.
